Hope For Our Future: Overcoming Opioid Use Disorder and Historical Trauma

The Community Opioid Intervention Pilot Project (COIPP), in collaboration with the Opioid Response Network and Tribal Tech, is hosting a free virtual training “Hope for Our Future: Overcoming Opioid Use Disorder and Historical Trauma” on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm (MST).

Training Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the role of kinship in prevention, treatment, and recovery from Opioid Use Disorder
  • Identify historical trauma narratives in the community and their impact on current relationships
  • Evaluate interpersonal interactions that are trauma-informed approaches to care and relationships

Continuing Education Credits

In support of improving patient care, Project ECHO® is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. This activity will provide 1.5 hours for AMA, ACPE, ANCC, NMDOH CHW, ASWB, APA, and ADA. Please refer to the attached flyer for additional information.
